The machine has a 4-speed "Automatic" Jatco, manufactured in Fuji (Japan). It should be noted that Lada "Granta" is the first car "AvtoVAZ" on which the "Box machine" is installed serially. The choice of a four-stage box with a torque converter is not accidental:
- First, it fits perfectly in size;

But, despite this, to adjust the interaction of the automatic box with the engine to employees of the enterprise and their colleagues from abroad, a lot had to work hard and the cost of financial resources.
The car, according to the results of the work carried out, in addition to the new calibrations, was equipped with new nodes, and also undergo significant design changes that are now used on the "grant". For example, now the most powerful radiator cooling radiator, with an integrated oil cooler. Now you can use the air conditioning in all Lada Grant cars with a machine gun where such a type of radiator is installed. The car now has a more stringent spring system in front of the suspension, because the bundle of the "engine" has become a weighty of 33 kilograms. The power unit is now equipped with a littered crankcase, the pallet is now attached directly to the torque converter. It was also replaced to properly use the workpiece.
Specialists led to their constructive changes to the reduction of the road lumen by 2 centimeters, compared with a sedan equipped with a manual box.
Use the automatic box installed in the "Grant" is a pleasure:

Interior of Lada "Grant"

- Motor has good acceleration, on "Nizakh" - pulls very decently;
- Soft suspension, chassis design compensates for all shocks;
- The electric power steering makes it easy to maneuver on small sites;
- The brakes react even on the slightest touch, but the drift is not felt;
- A large rearview mirror, in comparison with Samara, significantly increases visibility;
- In the snowdrifts, the car drops, but despite this, rides.
Salon Lada "Grant" is noisy, the trunk is easily opened with the buttons, but sometimes closed from the first time. With a sharp turn, the glove box can open. The synchronizers of the box lacks - switching between speeds occurs after a small pause, which can play a dick joke on a slippery road, caused by the drift. And where is the guarantee that this will not entail body repair.
The reliability and life of the suspension depends directly from the style of driving and roadbed. Someone the repair will be required after 4 thousand, and someone calmly drives up to 40 thousand.
