The principle of operation of the mechanical pressure sensor is rather simple. The housing is the slider, which moves along the nichrome winding. Depending on the pressure, the resistance is changed on the sensor. The membrane moves and, therefore, makes the slider move. Taking into account such resistance, the pointer on the dashboard sensor shows the corresponding pressure.
To check, you need to take one end of the hose and connect it to the pump, and the second end to the sensor. On the other hand, connect the sensor, which will show the pressure result. It is extremely important that all compounds are hermetic. Otherwise, nothing will happen.
