Varieties of coating

Depending on which length of the flock is applied, the surface will look different.

It can be velvet, felt or suede.

The surface is covered in whole or in part (using stencils).

Flocking equipment

Flocking is performed using special electrical equipment - flocator.

It can be a stationary installation or hand tool.

cooking surface

First, the surface is prepared on which Flock will be applied.

Inside the car's interior surface is mainly plastic.

It is necessary to remove the parts on the surface of which the flock layer will be applied. If they are made of bent plastic, then their surface is pretty shallow emery skurt.

If plastic cracks, then the surface is treated with a special composition - prime, and withstand 10 minutes.

preparing tools for work

After the surface is ready, the tool is prepared for work.

It is falling asleep in the desired color of Flock.

The container where the flock falls asleep should be filled with 2/3 volumes.

Depending on the material from which the detail is manufactured, glue is selected.

we apply glue

Then the glue brush is evenly applied to the surface.

No need to apply too thick layer, otherwise the flock drowns in it.

To better be visible the thickness of the adhesive layer, you can add a little dye into it.

If the surface is not completely covered, then it is necessary to put stencil to cover with glue the necessary parts of the part.

we produce flocking

Before flashing, the stencil will need to take off.

In order not to spray the flock, before floccoting, it is necessary to ground the adhesive layer, the flocator and the table on which the part is processed.

The flocator will be grounded if it is kept with a naked hand, since the handle is covered with a current conductor.

The surface is covered with flock for the first time. Flocator must be held at a distance of 10-15 cm from the surface and perpendicular to it.

After the layer is put, you need to remove extra patches with a hair dryer.

When the first layer is ready, the next one is applied.

For high-quality coverage, it is enough to apply two or three layers.

If the application of the FLOK is completed, then the part should be proceeded. It lasts about a day at temperatures above + 20c.

After this time, the detail is ready, it must be installed in its place in the cabin.

The flocator is blocked with air and the remnants of the flock from it are poured.

The flocking process is simple and its implementation by many.
